50 Franco-German pupils discover the world of musical instruments at HOHNER

    28 May, 2025

    Discovery Days

As part of the Discovery Days organised by the Franco-German Educational Association, 50 pupils from Germany and France recently visited HOHNER Musikinstrumente in Trossingen. The French guests came from Mulhouse in Alsace, the German pupils from Marianum in Hegne, a social science grammar school near Constance.

The young explorers were divided into four groups and were given an exciting insight into the production of high-quality musical instruments. During their visit, the pupils went through the various stages of harmonica, accordion and flute production. They were able to experience at first hand how high-quality instruments are created from traditional craftsmanship and modern technology.

The visit to HOHNER not only offered the students an insight into production, but also the opportunity to share a common passion for music and make intercultural contacts. The event was met with great interest and enthusiasm and promoted exchange between the two countries.

‘It's wonderful to see how young people from Germany and France are connected through music and learning together,’ said one of the accompanying teachers. ‘Such encounters are a valuable experience for the future of our bilateral cooperation.’

HOHNER is delighted to have been part of this inspiring project and looks forward to further joint initiatives that promote cultural exchange.
