MOUNT JULIET, TN, USA, September 1, 2026... Hohner Harmonica is proud to welcome acclaimed blues artist and harmonica phenom Harrell “Young Rell” Davenport to the Hohner artist roster. Known for his signature fat-toned harmonica sound, dexterous guitar playing, and commanding stage presence, Young Rell is a rising star in the blues world and beyond.

A prolific and engaging presence on social media, Young Rell has built a global community of fans while sharing his passion for musicianship, musical instruments, and generations of blues artists. His deep respect for the genre has led to relationships with some of the genre's most celebrated artists, including Taj Mahal, Keb’ Mo’, Billy Branch, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram and Charlie Musselwhite.

“I've played many brands of harmonicas, but none seem to compare to the unparalleled superiority of a Hohner harmonica,” Harrell affirms.

Young Rell has performed at renowned festivals and venues around the world, including the Chicago Blues Festival, New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Lucerne Blues Festival, Notodden Blues Festival and King Biscuit Blues Festival. A two-time nominee for Blues Blast Magazine’s Sean Costello Rising Star Award and a two-time nominee for SPAH's Bernie Bray Harmonica Player of the Year Award, he received the prestigious Jus’ Blues Foundation B.B. King “King of the Blues” Award in 2026.

Harrell’s debut full-length record, Young Rell, was released June 5th on Little Village records. Recorded at Kid Andersen’s Greaseland Studios and produced by Chicago harmonica ace Matthew Skoller with coproduction and engineering by Andersen, the album presents a young artist already in full command of his voice.
