On March 5, 2017 I brought my Hohner-sponsored Harmonikids session to the Salt Lake Valley Detention Center (SLVDC), In Salt Lake City Utah. SLVDC is a full-security facility designed to rehabilitate troubled youth detained by court order. Such facilities have become among my favorite to provide Harmonikids humanitarian services.

The European Music Workshops, which will be taking place from July 31st - August 6th for the ninth time in the idyllic La Maison du Kleebach, near Munster in Alsace, France, have become one of the most successful workshop events for hobby musicians in Europe.

On February 24, 2017 I provided a Hohner sponsored Harmonikids session to The High Frontier, a sprawling ranch facility for troubled youth outside of Fort Davis, Texas. In the return session 70 participants were entertained then gifted harmonicas and taught to accurately play four songs. It was a rousing success. The fully engaged teens really enjoyed themselves and were very proud of their newly discovered musical ability.
