Jérôme Meyer, leader, guitarist and harmonica player of the CATFISH BLUES BAND (founded in 1995), a representative of the traditional, rural and urban blues of the 1920s to 1950s, has already shared the stage with Philipp Fankhauser, Little JC & his Blues Band, Mojo Blues Band (A) or Memo Gonzales & the Blues-casters (USA / D), Sonny Terry, Peg Leg Sam, J. C. Burris, George Harmonica Smith, Little Walter. C. Burris, George Harmonica Smith, Little Walter - have had a significant influence on his harmonica playing - which is especially evident in his solo performances.
He has also been teaching blues harp and guitar in several Swiss cities since 2000. For many years he played together with the excellent slide guitarist, banjo and mandolin player Peter Sommer in a duo, which resulted in concerts and numerous recordings - stylistically settled in folk, bluegrass, country, blues, Cajun or even early jazz.
Jérôme plays besides guitar and blues harp ( also in the Hca-Rack ! ) also washboard, spoons, 5-string banjo, drums and piano.
